Dented Drawer Fronts (Fabrication Malfunction)

I ordered two of these drawers and both arrived with small dents in the drawer fronts. They appear to be fabrication malfunctions. Geez, of all places to not have fabrication defects it would be on the drawer fronts. For the price my expectations were to have smooth drawer fronts.

Drawer is solid, installation simple but the drawer only opens up a few inches making the back 1/2 of the drawer dead space. There is not way to extend the sliders. I'll either be returning of simply tossing in the trash.

It seems to be built well and sturdy, but is not working for me. The description says 18" and 20" on the outside, etc. but a 17" notepad does not fit in there. The drawer is too shallow and only extends half way. The product images have all the dimensions like the inner measurements of the drawer and how much it extends. But somehow it made an impression of a bigger box, which it is not.

I bought this for my VIVO desk since my position became permanent work-from-home and I needed a drawer to store my work utensils. I was impressed by the desk's material, sturdiness, and design, so I decided to purchase VIVO's drawer. However, I am disappointed in how little the drawer actually opens (I have to tilt my pencil container just to pull/put it in the drawer). Mine came dented which I didn't appreciate but since it's just a cosmetic issue and you can't see it (it's on the top part of the drawer which I installed to the desk), I didn't mind not asking for a replacement. The most frustrating point for me is how the drawer will constantly slide open - it never stays fully shut. I wouldn't buy this product again (due to the drawer being unable to stay shut, the dent, and how little it actually opens), and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm sure there are other alternatives that are better than this drawer. If you plan on only keeping sticky notes or tiny objects in the drawer, it may work for you though.
